Jim Robeson is a Houston singer-songwriter whose music turns ordinary places and hard-won experience into songs that feel lived-in from the first line.
Born in Decatur, Texas, Jim took a winding road back to music. Offshore work, nightclubs, restaurants, sales, an operating room and a career as a hairdresser and educator all became part of the life behind the songs.
His acoustic work moves through folk, country, folk-rock and classic singer-songwriter traditions, led by guitar, a direct voice and stories built to connect.
Jim is a BMI-registered songwriter, vice president of the Houston Songwriters Association and Houston representative for the International Singer-Songwriters Association. He also hosts HSA’s Tuesday open mic at Kojak’s.
